Welcome to Green Heritage Ranch ~ ~ breeders of some of the finest Gypsy Vanner horses in south Texas! Enjoy, explore & learn about this magical breed that we call our family!
The Gypsy Vanner was developed by the Romany Gypsies of Great Britain - - and are renovwned for their wonderfully gentle temperaments and hard-working nature. The gypsies envisioned this horse to pull their bow-top caravans - - - a heavy boned, abundantly feathered horse - full of color! A cross between Clydesdales, Shires and Dales Ponies, they are truly a special breed.
Some of the bloodlines our horses include are some of the very finest ~ Minstral, Sid's Good Stallion, Romany King, The Old Horse of Wales, BB King, The Gypsy King, Romany Rye, The Lob Eared Horse and The Lion King. We are proud to be breeding for conformation and feather as well as temperament.
Dennis and I do not have children --- we only have these 4-legged kids so they are spoiled rotten! Our foals are handled from the minute they're born with imprinting and training from Day 1.
